3d innovations Starts Mapping the Future of Market Data and Reference Data Management

London, UK and New York, NY, 30/09/2015

3d innovations (3di), a data management services company, today released version 3.0 of its Data Compliance and Dependency Manager (DCDM). Part of its 3di Managed Services Suite, the upgraded data compliance tool now supports a full-enterprise data model so buy and sell side participants can rely on DCDM to act as a book of records for any applications using and distributing market data and / or reference data.

“Recording all application data usage, version 3.0 now mirrors the same data used by e.g. trading, risk or portfolio management applications throughout the enterprise,” said Janelle Veasey, Director of Operations & Services, 3d innovations. “We now have the ability to integrate with these applications and structure their data in a way that is consistent with vendor licensing and end-user consumption.”

“Instead of focusing on internal reporting forms such as dashboards and end user data reports, DCDM 3.0 adds business logic. Market participants can now access and compute real application data sets, enabling them to issue accurate vendor, exchange, index provider or broker declarations,” said Janelle Veasey, Director of Operations & Services, 3d innovations.

While the product is still in the early adopter phase, a handful of clients are already running proof of concepts (POC). Company executives expect many of these POCs to transition to full production during the next 12 months.

Janelle Veasey, Director of Operations & Services, 3d innovations, adds, “DCDM 3.0 and solutions like it are the future of effective market data and reference data management. Buy and sell side institutions cannot license and manage data distribution in a compliant and efficient fashion without a clear, holistic view of where the data is and how it is being used in every part of the organization”.
